How To Make Your Event a Thymely Affair

1. Think of a theme for your event, by this I do not mean “Alice in Wonderland” or a costume ball. What is the feel or atmosphere you would like to create? What is the ambience? What is the mood of the occasion you would like to create?

2. What will be the time of day for your Thymely event? The actual time of the event will have an obvious effect on the style of the occasion!

3. What venue will the event be held at: a restaurant, the Art Gallery, a conference room, or maybe even at home!

4. What is the budget? You are the only one that can determine this, so set the budget and then realistically talk to the providers and let them give you their input to the products and services with your budget in mind.

5. What will be the size of your event? Depending on how many guests your are having, talk to the professionals: caterers, florists, and of course wine experts!

6. What is on the menu at your event, and who will execute the production of the menu? Will you be doing some yourself? Bring in some elements from other sources: grocery stores, butcher shops, your favourite restaurant, or you can simply hire a caterer and have them take care of the specifics once you have decided on a menu.

7. Will there be parting hostess gifts or not? Something to keep in mind is that today a large number of people are asking to make a donation in their name to a charity in lieu of a gift.

8. For the most important part of your event: it is a party or a special occasion, so do everything in your power to enjoy and relax!!!
